This notice explains how Superradiant Corporation (“Superradiant”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares personal information through superradiant.ai, research.superradiant.ai and our other sites under superradiant.ai, through accounts for the Superradiance platform, and when you write to us. It also states our commitments for de-identified data we receive from research partners.
Information we collect
When you create an account. Your name, your email address, and, if you choose to give them, your organization and a description of what you are building. We record when you signed up and confirmed your account, and the IP address you signed up from. Sign-in links and session tokens are stored only in hashed form. We keep a record of the account emails we send you: their type, the time, and the delivery provider’s message identifier.
When you send us a note. The name, email address and message you enter in a contact or collaboration form, and the IP address it came from. The note is delivered to our inbox by email. We also keep email you send us directly.
When you sign in to a restricted page. Some pages, such as presentation materials, require signing in with Google. Google tells us your email address so we can check that you are authorized to view the page.
When you visit our sites. Our web servers log the IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page and the browser’s user-agent string. When our systems refuse or rate-limit a request to protect the site, they log the email address and IP address involved. We also use Umami, a website analytics service, which records the page address and title, the referring page, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and the country you are in, which it works out from your IP address. We look at these statistics only in aggregate, to see which pages people read and to improve the sites.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use only the cookies needed to run the sites:
- Account session. When you sign in to your Superradiant account we set a cookie named
sr_session. It keeps you signed in for up to 30 days and is removed when you sign out or delete your account. - Restricted pages. Signing in with Google to a restricted page sets a cookie that expires within 7 days.
Our analytics service, Umami, sets no cookies and does not follow you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies or advertising trackers. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser information. Google’s handling of that information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and run your account, and send you sign-in, confirmation and account emails;
- read and answer your notes and email;
- control access to restricted pages;
- understand, in aggregate, how our sites are used, and improve them;
- keep our sites and services secure, including limiting request rates and blocking abusive accounts; and
- comply with law and protect our rights.
We will not add you to a marketing mailing list without your consent.
How we share information
We share personal information only:
- With service providers that process it for us under contract: Google Cloud (hosting, in the United States), Resend (delivery of account emails), Umami (website analytics), Google Workspace (our email), and Google (sign-in to restricted pages and font delivery).
- When the law requires it, or to protect the safety, rights or property of any person.
- In a business transaction, such as a merger, financing or sale of assets, subject to this notice.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
De-identified data
We may receive de-identified data from research partners for scientific research, including de-identified health information and de-identified patient information. For all de-identified data we receive, Superradiant publicly commits that it will:
- maintain, use and otherwise process the data only in de-identified form;
- not attempt to re-identify the data, or to link it to an identified or identifiable individual, household or device;
- take reasonable technical and organizational measures to prevent the data from being re-identified;
- contractually require anyone to whom we disclose the data to meet these same commitments and not to re-identify it; and
- publish research results from the data only in a form that does not identify any individual.
If we learn that data we received can identify a person, we stop using that data and return or delete it.
How long we keep information
Account information is kept until you delete your account or ask us to delete it. Signup confirmation links expire after 24 hours, sign-in links after one hour, account-deletion links after 30 days, and sessions after 30 days. If we block an account for abuse, we keep its email address and the record of the abuse so the account cannot be re-created. Notes and email you send us are kept as business correspondence. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
Your choices and rights
Delete your account at any time. Every account email includes a link that deletes your account, your sign-in links and your sessions. You can also write to us.
Ask about your information. You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to hello@superradiant.ai. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within 45 days. You may act through an authorized agent. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Security
We protect information with encrypted connections, hashed sign-in and session tokens, and access limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Our sites and services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Where information is processed
We are based in the United States, and we store and process information in the United States. Our analytics provider, Umami, may process the statistics it collects in the United States or the European Union.
Changes to this notice
We will post any change to this notice on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will also notify account holders by email before it takes effect.
